Amway announced a 1.1-billion-baht project to build its new Amway Thailand Headquarters on a land plot more than 10 rai to provide ultimate convenience to 1,000,000 Amway Business Owners and Amway Members. The company foresees continued expansion of its business here, confirmed by 15% sales growth to record-breaking 13.3 billion baht in 2009. The impressive performance is also regarded as another strong evidence of Amway Business Owners profession as a promising career opportunity despite sluggish economy.
Mr. Preecha Prakobkit, Managing Director of Amway (Thailand) Ltd., revealed: “To support our expansion plan and the goal to achieve annual sales of 20 billion baht in 2012, Amway will be investing 1.1 billion baht to build a new Amway Thailand Headquarters on Ramkhamheang Road. Standing on a land plot more than 10 rai (17,000 sq.m.), the new headquarters with spacious utility area of 35,405 sq.m. will accommodate business activities and shopping of 1,000,000 Amway Business Owners (ABOs) and Amway Members, and will be the center in extending business opportunity to larger group of people. In addition, the new premise will be the symbolic pride of Amway as Thailand’s number one direct selling company and an original direct selling firms with high standard of business ethics and full compliance to the laws.”
“The new Amway Thailand Headquarters will embrace green concept in its design to enable energy saving and create cozy, relaxing ambience along with the sense of freedom, modernity, and security,” he added. “The utility space will be designed to maximize functions. On the road frontage of the premises will be a three-storey Amway Experience Plaza that houses an Amway Shop where 2,000 products from Amway and Business Partners can be purchased, an Amway Zone that offers Amway experience and business opportunity, a library, and meeting rooms with a combined capacity to accommodate 1,000 people. Next from this building will stand an 8.5-storey car park building, large enough for 530 cars, and a Grand Arena for recreation in garden and fountain atmosphere. At the furthest end of the land plot, a five-storey office building will be built to support future expansion of the business.”
“The project to build our new headquarters is a major domestic investment that will spawn business opportunities to many local industry sectors in Thailand, such as real estate, building materials, architectural design, construction, interior design, etc. In addition to helping spur the economy, the project will also contribute to growth and development of its surrounding communities. The construction is scheduled to start in 2011 and will expectedly be completed in 2012, the year when our 20-billion-baht sales target is due,” Mr. Preecha said.

In addition, more Amway Shops will be opened this year to increase consumer’s accessibility to Amway brands alongside reactivation of existing members and penetration to new users. These plans will be supported by a budget of 750 million baht for marketing, sales promotion, advertising, public relations, and other relevant activities,” he continued.
